ABOUT ME
HI, my name is Nicki Alexander.
Welcome to Naturally Nicki. I've been searching for my true calling and follow my passions & dreams for years - being an artist. I made the decision around July of 2014 to give it a go. To put it simply, I started having the mindset of: Why NOT follow my dreams and passions - and maybe I can be successful starting an online art boutique doing what I love - art.
I want to be provide products that make people enjoy their lives More and to the Fullest. Hopefully my products will put a smile on your face as you look at my art on your wall to the products you wear.
And, so the journey begins......

Naturally Nicki is over a year in the making (June '14). It's a combination of events (see blog); acquired passions and ongiong drive. It's also very much due to the genius and support from the two wonderful 'guys' in my life - Colin, my vivacious son and Cameron, my beloved husband.
My son created this origami piece you see to the right of the screen. It was obvious that my logo should be an origami piece he did as well (shown above.)

I've crocheted for over 14 years. Rarely in those 14 years have I used a pattern. I love picking up a needle and yarn and just seeing what evolves. Each piece is an original; guaranteed one-of-a-kind. I can reproduce my hats and headbands, but each one is unique - NATURALLY. My inventory has a variety of fibers and yarns. In the future - I will have a natural, organic-fiber yarns section. Keep coming back for the new products.

The style of ARTIGAMI I use in my pieces was designed by my son Colin. I fell in love with the folds, the lines, and the details. I started painting them with watercolors. The fondness of the origami was one of the many sparks to starting Naturally Nicki.
As you'll read in my blog, Naturally Nicki is quite the family affair. My husband designed the contemporary handmade frame that houses all of my Origami Art - also known as ARTIGAMI's.

I chose the tagline -A Journey In Art- because on a business and personal level I want to continue to expand, grow, learn, and provide different mediums of art and origami styles. There is so much more to come of Naturally Nicki. It has just begun.
